Forced Air

Quality and Efficiency

  • Equipment should always be sized correctly and maintained properly. At Impact Heating and Air, LLC, we make sure to thoroughly size your home so the equipment you receive will work as best as possible for your home.

  • There are several different types of furnaces: high efficient, single-stage, 2-stage, modulating, single-stage fan and variable-speed fan with E.C.M. motor (electronically commutated motor). We are here to help you decide which will be the best choice for your home.

  • It consumes fuel that powers it (gas or oil), and as this fuel is burned, heat is created in the furnace and is forced into the duct system. The heated air gets released into your home through registers.

  • Older furnaces used to go into chimneys, whether it was brick or stainless steel. New, high-efficient furnaces do not require either of the two chimneys, which saves ample space in your home. These new furnace flue pipes are constructed of PVC pipe which are directly piped to the outside of your home.

  • An Aqua-guard overflow protection pan (equipped with monitoring switch) is placed under the air conditioning coil which is attached to your furnace or air handler to ensure that in the case of a blockage in your A.C. drain line, the pan will fill up with water and shut your system off as a safety precaution.

  • All of our furnaces/air handlers are placed on anti-vibration pads.

Heat Pumps
Heating and Cooling
  • Ideal for moderate climate settings; where the weather doesn’t reach extreme heat or extreme cold, unless you have a supplementary heating or cooling source.

  • In the summer, a heat pump removes the hot air from inside your home and transports that air outside.

  • In the winter, a heat pump removes the heat from the air outside transferring it inside to heat your home.

  • Energy Efficient – due to the fact that it transfers heat rather than burning fuel to create heat.

  • In areas where much of the winter reaches below 32 degrees, it is ideal for the home to have a supplementary heat source.
